Tim Tebow Taught his beliefs
Yesterday I went to a conference called Life Surge. There were many different speakers there from Willie Robertson to Auntie Anne the CEO of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels. However, Tim Tebow taught us what he believed was important.
The main attraction or biggest speaker there, however, was none other but Tim Tebow himself. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a meet and greet or give him my blog card to interview him.
However, he left me with a deep and profound message that speaks volumes about his character and helped me see things from a different perspective.
Tim Tebow Taught Significance
That is this: Significance > Success. You see success is all about me and what I can do. While significance focuses on others and is selfless, not selfish.
The American dream is to get rich being the best person and is all about number one. God’s plan is for you to touch and bless as many people as possible before He returns.
You see significance is all about what you can do for others while success is all about what I can do for myself. For a long time, I was all about success and doing well for myself, and having a good title in the sports industry.
Tim Tebow was also big into sports and thought that’s all that mattered. He went on a missions trip and saw a boy who was crippled and considered cursed.
Significance > Success
He found that young boy and told him that he was more than that, shared the gospel with him and the boy said he’d be looking forward to running with Tebow in Heaven.
From that day on Tebow wanted a life of significance, not success. To this day Tebow helps others with disabilities, caught in the Child Sex trafficking horrors among other things.
As a matter of fact, the Tim Tebow Foundation as of July 2020, has raised 1 million dollars for Human Trafficking.
Tim Tebow is living a life of significance and I want to do the same. The question is what will you do? Will you follow the American Dream of success or will you follow God’s Plan of Significance.
